We met Ewen in Amble,in the afternoon of 4th July, he was walking past our house along the promenade. We asked him in for a bite to eat. We were moved by what he was doing for the Burmese people. It was a privilege to meet him, a very interesting and humble young man.

Hello Ewen ... Verene and Alastair here in Glasgow just checking in to see how you're doing. Lindisfarne ... you're doing well by the sounds of it ... you know, in my experience of monks they usually keep a good tipple hidden under the bed or disguised as "altar wine" ... so don't depart without a merry heart!

My Wife, Daughter and I met Ewen at Dunstanburgh castle on the 4th of July. I only wish we could have spoken for longer. It was a privilege to meet the guy. Good luck with the rest of your journey.
